The Hope Programme is Recruiting Associate Counsellors
The Hope Programme is a registered charity in Bedfordshire. We aim to provide specialist support, counselling, help and information for those affected by rape and sexual abuse with a helpline, counselling, talking therapies, and signposting to other services for people over 10 years of age.
We are facing increased demands for our services and are recruiting associate session counsellors to join our team, for 1-1 in person and telephone/online counselling with clients in Bedfordshire. Zoom is being used for counselling sessions during the current COVID-19 restrictions.
You should be registered with the BACP/UKCP/BPS with a completed recognised professional qualification in counselling to Diploma/Foundation Degree level or equivalent. We expect you to have a minimum of 150 hours of prior experience of 1-1, face-to-face counselling, ideally with a significant proportion of adults.
You will gain high quality support, CPD opportunities, specialist professional experience, free training, regular supervision and insights into our innovative charity. The hourly rate will be agreed according to your skills and experience, travel and out of pocket expenses will be paid.
You will be a positive team person with an understanding of trauma reduction and recovery, safeguarding and supporting people with multiple and complex needs. Due to these roles having access to vulnerable adults and children. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
