Rape and Sexual Violence Service in Bedfordshire

Our aim is to help victims, survivors and their non offending supporters to cope and recover as far as is possible from the aftermath and trauma of the crimes.

We offer a helpline, 1-1 confidential counselling,  pre-trial therapy, coaching,  emotional support and signposting to other services.

All of the counsellors at The Hope Programme have professional qualifications and are specially trained.


How sexual violence counselling works

We ensure  our services are as accessible as possible by offering appointments in safe and discreet places in Luton, Bedford and Central Bedfordshire.

How long will it take to recover?

Our counselling and therapy service has proved to be effective and beneficial. Each person is unique so it is impossible to say how long recovery, as far as is possible may take. This will be discussed with you at your first appointment which is an assessment by a highly experienced counsellor.

Confidential support and counselling for rape victims

Counselling is confidential except If a counsellor or staff member thinks that anyone is at risk of serious harm or violence, we may have to pass your information and our concerns to a third party for safeguarding purposes. This will be discussed at your first appointment.
